Patchwork Apron
Shanghai
Cotton
£45

Each apron is made from a single piece of patchworked fabric using offcuts of vintage Chinese homespun cotton, the process creates no waste and makes each apron completely unique.

Chinese homespun cotton - ‘tubu’ is a coarse fabric traditionally spun, dyed and woven on a hand loom in the home.
The aprons are made at a social enterprise in Shanghai supporting those with special needs. Their workshop trains disabled and homeless sewing skills, hiring them and integrating into the community.
